Many of the country's smaller scale firms are unhappy with the amount of bank support they have received in recent times, new figures have suggested.
Companies offering the likes of contractor services may be interested to note that in the past year, 25 per cent of those small firms polled in a recent Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) survey have not been satisfied with the level of support that high street banks have provided.
According to the FSB's national chairman John Walker, there needs to be a greater amount of trust between the nation's businesses and banking organisations.
He stated: "The future health of the economy depends on restoring trust between small firms and the banking system, as turning ideas and innovation into business growth requires a reliable financial partner."
Earlier this month, the FSB positively received proposals from business secretary Vince Cable to address the issue of business regulation.
