The coalition government formed by the Conservatives and Liberal Democrat Party last week has received the backing of one contractor group.
According to the PCG, which aims to provide support to the likes of IR35 contractors, the creation of the new administration marks a welcome development.
Small business tax reforms and IR35 amendments are likely to be given the support of the PCG if ministers focus on these areas in the near future, the body has highlighted.
The political parties involved in the coalition have already recognised the importance of freelancer workers in the UK, the organisation's managing director John Brazier believes.
"PCG has established a good working relationship with both the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats in opposition, and we are confident this will continue in government," he said.
Earlier this month, Miles Templeman, the Institute of Directors director general, suggested that the new government should avoid major business tax increases.
