Contractor group raises awareness of National Freelancers Day

Freelancers are being encouraged to make an early note of a PCG event which is due to take place later on in the year.

The contractor organisation has confirmed that November 23rd will mark National Freelancers Day in the UK, with 2010's theme set to be 'freeing up potential'.

Managing director of the group, John Brazier, commented: "More and more people see freelancing as their ideal 21st century work choice.

"They see the potential of freelancing as a positive and rewarding choice for their work while enhancing their lifestyle."

He went on to suggest that the work of freelancers has a positive impact on the UK's wider economy.

'The future of work' was the main area of discussion at the PCG's National Freelancers Day in 2009.

Meanwhile, businesses thinking about making use of UK contractors may benefit from the information offered in a new PCG checklist, which aims to help such organisations.
