It is important that the political momentum needed in order to scrap the IR35 contractor tax in the UK is maintained, according to one expert.
John Brazier of the PCG believes that the government's proposed creation of an Office of Tax Simplification could prove to be beneficial in this regard.
Mr Brazier, the contractor organisation's managing director, commented: "We will continue to work with government and keep the momentum building to abolish IR35 which, after all, has been PCG's core objective since inception."
The expert went on to point out that certain measures put forward in the recent Queen's Speech might also help to get rid of IR35.
Nano-businesses are likely to benefit from the development of a simpler tax system, he continued.
Meanwhile, the PCG last month gave its backing to plans included in the coalition's programme for government to review the IR35 legislation that currently exists in the UK.
